Common Questions

Have questions?

How does HSA/FSA payment actually work?
It's pretty simple. You complete a quick online consult, and if approved, you receive a Letter of Medical Necessity that lets you use pre-tax HSA/FSA funds for your STRIDE Fitness membership. After signing up, you submit the letter and your receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement.
How long does the consult take?
About two minutes. The whole process is online — no appointment needed, no waiting room. You can do it from your phone, your laptop, or wherever you are. Most people finish before they've poured their post-class smoothie.
How much does the consult cost?
$15 for the consult. If approved, you'll receive a Letter of Medical Necessity that's valid for 12 months — meaning you can keep using your HSA/FSA funds for your membership the entire year.
Will I get approved?
Most people do, especially if they're using fitness to support general health. The doctor makes the final call based on your consultation, but the bar isn't high — fitness for cardiovascular health, weight management, and stress reduction are all common qualifying reasons.
What happens if I'm not approved?
No worries — you simply wouldn't move forward with using HSA/FSA funds. You can still sign up for a STRIDE membership and pay the standard way. The consult is a one-time $15 to find out, with no commitment if it doesn't work out.
How long is the Letter of Medical Necessity valid?
12 months from the date it's issued. The letter applies to future expenses only — meaning once you have it, you can use HSA/FSA funds for membership and classes you pay for going forward.
Can I use HSA/FSA for class packs and add-ons?
Yes, the Letter of Medical Necessity covers your STRIDE Fitness membership and classes. Once approved, qualifying fitness expenses can be reimbursed through your HSA/FSA administrator.
Do I pay STRIDE Fitness first or get reimbursed?
You pay for your membership like normal, then submit your receipt and the Letter of Medical Necessity to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement. Your administrator sends the funds back to you, often within a few business days.
