HYROX TRAINING AT STRIDE FITNESS

HYROX is a fitness race combining running with functional strength — think sled pushes, lunges, carries, and compound movements paired with interval running.

At STRIDE Fitness, we train that style. Woodway treadmill intervals. Sled work. Dumbbell complexes. Structured so you build endurance and strength at the same time — the way race-day performance actually happens.

HYROX-Ready Equipment

Built for the strong.

Every tool in the studio earns its spot. Our equipment mirrors HYROX race movements so you train the way you'll perform.

Strength
Dumbbells & Benches

Functional strength that translates directly to race performance — farmer's carries, compound lifts, and unilateral work that builds grip, core stability, and endurance under load.

Conditioning
Walking Lunges & Carries

The bread and butter of HYROX. Walking lunges build single-leg power and endurance. Farmer's carries train posture, grip, and core — every skill you'll need when the race clock is running. If you want to improve your time or participate in your first HYROX, STRIDE Fitness is for you.

Good to Know

Common questions.

Does STRIDE Fitness offer real HYROX classes?
Yes! STRIDE Fitness is an official HYROX training club, and we offer HYROX-inspired classes that use Woodway tread intervals, farmer's carries, walking lunges, and dumbbell work. It's the same training style HYROX athletes use to prep for race day.
What does a HYROX-inspired class actually look like?
A typical set combines treadmill intervals in zone 3–4, followed by sled pushes on our Woodway treads, walking lunges, and farmer's carries with dumbbells. We spend most of class in zones 3 and 4 to build the kind of endurance and output HYROX rewards.
I'm training for an actual HYROX race. Is this the right prep?
Yes. Our programming mirrors HYROX movements and zone demands — running, sled work, lunges, and carries all make the cut. Let your coach know you're race-prepping and they can dial in guidance on pacing, pacing strategy, and targeted work between classes.
I just want strength — is this still for me?
Absolutely. Every class hits strength through dumbbells and sled work. The treadmill intervals aren't optional cardio — they build the overall conditioning that makes your strength work more effective. You'll leave stronger and better conditioned.
I don't like running. Is this still for me?
Our treadmill work is interval-based, never a 55-minute jog. Every run block is broken up with strength, sled pushes, or carries. Most people who "don't like running" find interval work totally different — and on our Woodway treadmills, running feels better on the body than you'd expect.
Do you have rowers or ski ergs?
We don't — but we train the same energy systems through running, sled pushes, and strength complexes. Running is the biggest driver of HYROX performance, and that's where we focus.
I've never done group training. Will I be lost?
No. Every class is scalable — coaches adjust speed, resistance, and movement variations in real time based on where you are. Brand-new athletes train in the same class as advanced ones, each at their own level.
